Welwyn Garden City
Using a pre-1980’s Lubitel for the first time, shooting on a donated out of date film and developing colour film for the first time, the outcomes were always going to be interesting.
Edges were caught in the camera as well as during the development process, the framing of the 6x6 is crooked, with colour coming out saturated and leaning on the magenta.
Shooting in the architectural wonder of Welwyn, exploring the protected ascetics from the 1920s projected me back to experiences a utopian, idealistic, idea of a city. Wide roads, green spaces and central buildings draw me in during this exploration.
